Curiosity (2012) – Carly Rae Jepsen: Catchy at its Finest

I have a theory. My theory is Most People Suck At Typing. I lump that in with my other theories Most People Are Bad Drivers and Most People Are Lazy And Stupid. But those are posts for another day. Today’s post is about typing faster.

In every MMORPG, the process of earning gold involves one of two things: time or money. There’s no such thing as a free lunch, or free gold. You either grind it out, killing monsters and killing time until you’re satisfied, or you buy the gold from an outside broker, with real dollars. But what if you could make gold using simple economics?

What follows is an account of the time I played World of Warcraft, and developed a system to generate gold through the auction house.

A long time ago, I was one of those eBay “scalpers” that bought Tickle Me Elmos and Nintendo Wiis, among other things, to resell them on the online garage sale known as eBay. It was a profitable enterprise, and even though the game has changed considerably since then, eBay is still the absolute best place to sell your unwanted stuff.

The Citi Forward credit card was recommended to me by a friend crowing about its 5% back on bookstores and restaurants. After going through the fine print I can safely say that there’s no 5%, but it’s still a credit card you might want to check out. Updated.

It’s a tough economy out there. People are spending less because they have less to spend. But you don’t have to cut back to stretch your dollars. You just need to be a smart consumer.

Day 8. One week of my trip is now officially over. Tokyo is long gone, and I’m now in Nagoya, after a three-hour shinkansen run where I amused myself by alternating between sleeping and playing 1990s era computer games on my laptop. And drinking my free orange juice.
